Work has started on replacing the cement on the outside of the east wall with lime & mortar. This will help with the damp that has been coming through behind the High Altar.

Scaffolding has been up since June 2026 & will remain in place whilst the works continue.  This is just the beginning of several projects (which includes a new heating system) to protect the fabric of our Church & to make it comfortable for the congregation throughout the year.

As with any historical building, regular maintenance is important to ensure small repairs are dealt with quickly before escalating to something more serious.

We continue to raise funds towards our restoration & maintenance efforts to ensure our Church can be enjoyed by visitor’s & parishioners for years to come.

If you would like to donate towards our ongoing works to our beautiful Church, you can do so by visiting our online donation page (https://www.zeffy.com/en-GB/donation-form/st-margaret-isfield-restoration-appeal) or by scanning the QR code shown below.
