September
St Margaret, Isfield start the Harvest season with their Harvest Festival Service on Sunday 6th September at 10am. All are very welcome to this service.
We welcome Fr Peter Walters from Medellin, Columbia to do a talk as part of Caring & Sharing. This will be on Wednesday 9th September starting at 7pm in Holy Cross Church. Fr Peter is a Roman Catholic priest who is the Founder and Director of Let the Children Live! (Medellin, Colombia). Prior to his conversion he served as the Assistant Administrator of the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. Refreshments including cake will be provided. Everyone is welcome. Please come and support.
On Saturday 12th September, the Sussex Historic Churches Trust have the annual Ride & Stride fundraising event.
On Sunday 13th September we celebrate our Patronal Festival of Holy Cross Day. The Choir will lead a special Choral Evensong at 5:30pm.
St Michael in Little Horsted will have their annual Family Harvest Festival Service on Sunday 20th September at 11am. Everyone is warmly welcome.
Our Junior Church & Choir Children will be taking on another Colour Run on Sunday 20th September. The Children will be taking on either a 1k, 3k or 5k challenge. This year, we will be fundraising for a family within our Church that are going through a difficult time - we hope that any funds raised will enable them to make some special memories together and show them how much we love and support them. If you would like to support this fundraiser please make your donation to Sarah or an online link which will be setup in due course and shared on The Grapevine.
On Sunday 27th September, St Michael and all Angels celebrate their Patronal Festival. Our Choir will lead a special Choral Evensong at Holy Cross at 5:30pm.
October
On Wednesday 7th October, come and support the Coffee & Cake morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. This will be held in The Belmont Centre between 10am & 12:30pm.
Starting from 8th October at 1:30pm in St Saviour's, Fr David will lead Bible Study based on The Acts of the Apostles. Sessions will generally be held between 1:30pm & 3pm followed by tea & biscuits on the 2nd & 4th Thursday's of the month.
On Sunday 11th October Holy Cross celebrates the Harvest Festival. We will have the annual Harvest lunch in The Belmont Centre from 12:15pm. Tickets will be £12.50 per adult and £6 for those under 16. (Please bring your own wine). Advance booking will be required, so save the date. Everyone is welcome.
November
All Souls Requiem & Communion will be on Sunday 1st November at 5:30pm in Holy Cross Church.
Our Civic Service of Remembrance will be held from 3pm on Sunday 8th November.
Our annual Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 21st November between 10am & 2pm in The Belmont Centre.
Save the date! On Saturday 28th November, the Very Chatty Café team will be hosting a Wreath Making workshop in The Belmont Centre between 10am and 2pm. Refreshments and lunch will also be provided. Advance booking will be required and will be available in October.
We start the season of Advent with our Advent Carol Service on Sunday 29th November at 5:30pm led by the Choir. Everyone is most welcome to this beautiful service of Carols & readings.
December
On Sunday 20th December will be the service of Nine Lessons and Carols in Holy Cross Church at 6pm. Everyone is welcome.
On Christmas Eve the Crib Service will take place at 4pm in Holy Cross Church. Get there early as this is always a packed out service for all the family.
Also, at 11:30pm we will celebrate the first Eucharist of Christmas with our Midnight Mass in Holy Cross Church.
January 2027
To mark the season of Epiphany, the Choir will lead a special Epiphany Carol Service on Sunday 24th January at 5:30pm in Holy Cross Church.
